I'm your host, Kristina Stubblefield. If you're eager to take your business to greater heights, then you're in the right place.

We're here to help you unleash your business's untapped potential, boost your visibility, and maximize your investments. Let's dive into the world of Simplified Solutions. [00:01:00] Stay tuned, and let's simplify success together.

Today we're talking about something I see all the time. Businesses putting all of their marketing eggs in one basket. In one basket. Maybe you've poured everything into Google ads or you're not doing anything. But posting on Instagram, does this sound familiar? Well, I want to share a recent experience that we had working with a local organization that might just change the way you think about your marketing strategy.

So I'm going to tell you, grab some coffee because we're going to dive into why relying on just one channel could be holding your business back. And we're going to talk about how to fix it. Now, digital marketing is an incredibly powerful and effective. There's no doubt about it. [00:02:00] But what I often see time and time again is businesses just stopping there.

The challenge is when digital channels aren't paired with other strategies, some audiences can be left out. As I mentioned, we recently worked with a local organization and they were solely focused on digital, but that approach wasn't reaching key segments of their community. That's when we realized we needed to refine their approach.

So what we did is we took a step back and decided to implement in conjunction with the digital, a boots on the ground strategy. We visited high traffic rule areas, delivering posters and flyers and handing out rack cards. What we found was surprising. No one in some of those key [00:03:00] areas knew about the organization's services, even though they've been available for quite some time.

This really drove home the point. If you rely on just one channel, you're missing out on people who could really benefit from what you offer. What's the takeaway here? You need to think bigger. A diversified marketing plan doesn't mean you have to be everywhere all the time. It's about picking a few complimentary channels.

That work together. Let me give you an example. You could pair Google ads with direct mail for a more personal touch. You could use Facebook ads to target online users, but you could run a small local radio ad for those who aren't glued to the computer or their screens all the time. Repurpose [00:04:00] digital content.

An Instagram reel can become a YouTube short, a Tik TOK post, or a LinkedIn snippet without needing to create it from scratch and just like we did, you could use physical materials in high traffic areas to catch people's attention where digital doesn't reach. However, Every business is unique, and so is each marketing strategy.

None of these may apply, or all of them might. It's about finding the right mix for your business goals, target audience, and resources. It's about layering your efforts so no one falls through the cracks and your message is amplified across different channels. If you're thinking, okay, [00:05:00] Kristina, this makes sense, but how in the world do I start?

Well, I'm going to share with you three quick questions to ask yourself. Who am I currently not reaching and why? Which channels align best with my business's unique needs and audience? How can I make my existing efforts work harder by repurposing or pairing them with something new? Now answering these will help you find the right mix for your goals.

Remember, though, there's no one size fits all solution. The key is to avoid relying too heavily on a single channel and to create a strategy that's unique to your business. Start small, test different approaches, and build on what works for your audience. If you need [00:06:00] help figuring out how to develop a diverse plan. Reach out and let's chat.
