Thank you for tuning in to WedPro Business Solutions. I'm your host, Kristina Stubblefield. Over the years, I've had many titles and labels from marketing strategist business strategists, technology, gurus, systems and process this. And no matter what title gets attached with me, I just genuinely love helping people reach their goals. And a lot of that does have to do with digital marketing, and systems and processes to make it all easier. But what I've found is there's a lot of mindset that creeps in, and it has for a number of years, but I think it was really brought to light more with a whole short form video, the transition of video marketing from completely produced or highly produced videos like you would see on TV with perfect this and perfect to that, to this transition, of turning your phone on and hitting the record button. And as much as that helps level the playing field. You know, for small businesses, especially, I've always found if I'm just open and honest with people about some of my own mindset issues, that I'm able to dive a little deeper in whatever it is I'm working on with them, whether it's their messaging, their online presence, you know, their workflows just really helped move the needle in their business. And I wanted to talk about this topic, because I don't think it's discussed enough, truthfully, you know, for me, people think that I love to do video, they always say, this comes so easy to you like you can just boom, do videos. It's not always been like that, you know, I constantly say I'm a work in progress. And I've had to work through some of my own issues, if you want to call them that are some of my own hurdles, I hate to even call them issues. And here's what I found by having my own coach, my own support groups, for lack of better word, basically people that I can relate to, that get or understand where I'm at, or have been through kind of what I'm working through. I found that it's been such a big help. Because the more that I see, oh, wait, they struggle with this, no way. They have trouble with this. And here's what I want you all to remember. Your mind set can keep you from so many things, growing your business, refining your business, restructuring your business, reaching whatever goals you have, and I'm not talking about from a revenue standpoint. And here is what I want to share with wedding professionals. You all do amazing events. I believe it amazing events that probably nobody realize what all goes on to making that event happen. weddings, corporate events, school functions, nonprofit events, events as a whole. There's a lot of moving parts and pieces. There's a lot of time, energy and effort. I'm sure blood sweat and tears, the whole The list goes on and on. And what I have found is probably people in your community, maybe family and friends might know about some of these events that you produce design, plan, execute, whatever it is you do in the event business. But where we are at today, if we don't share that out on the World Wide Web, not even just social media, not necessarily on search engines, not just on websites as a whole on the World Wide Web. How can people possibly know what solution you offer to them? And that is something I've been working on myself for a few years. I love speaking. I love teaching workshops and sessions. I also like doing strategy sessions and I'm a big fan of whiteboarding. I love all that. I also enjoy my team, helping do Done For You services. But if I don't show up online, the World Wide Web. If I don't talk about I do videos about the solutions, the software, the strategy sessions, the coaching, the workshops, the speaking. If I don't share that on the worldwide web, how does people know that? How do people know outside of my little circle? In where we are today, people are doing research, whether for wedding planners, DJs, for corporate events, for venues, for coaches, for anything like that. People are doing research online before you even have an inkling that they're looking you up. Okay, that's gone on for a while. However, what we found ourselves in right now is people are narrowing down their list of ones to have serious conversations with and I'm saying this in a broad spectrum. wedding professionals, heck, yes, absolutely. This is going on. But also in other areas as well, even for me. I've had so many people say to me, I didn't realize you would come in and do a strategy session. I didn't realize you would come in and help us collaborate with us on devising the best marketing plan for the next year. Now, I can be frustrated with myself. But guess what, if I didn't talk about it online, do a post a video pictures? How do people know? Unless someone I know refers me. And to be honest, that happens a lot. And it has for a number of years. And I'm so blessed and so thankful with that. But my whole point in sharing this message with you all. As wedding professionals, you are executing amazing events. Why not share that with your community? With the world? And this is where I believe mindset can creep in. Oh, I don't want to show my picture. With this with a married couple. We'd been a 16 hour day I may get but we're offer I didn't wear makeup because I'm executing this event. Oh, I'm in my all black event clothing. I'll know I'll get a picture another time or I'll do a video another time. What will people think of the design of this event? If I post this what will people say? If I share this event out people gonna think that I'm trying to be better than someone if I do a video and I'm not in professional clothing and have my makeup done and in just the right lighting will people think I'm not a professional? I'm just giving you some items here to think about because here's the other side of that if you let fear doubt questioning if you let that get in the way how many people are missing out on you impacting their lives you helping elevate their event. You helping make that unbelievable day for that couple happen. What else? And for me, this has been something that I've went through on my own and I'll give you some scenarios here. You know, I don't have makeup on. Alright, I'll batch videos tomorrow. Oh,

I don't I don't know like I think that tic TOCs funny, but I don't know if people are gonna think that's funny. You know, I just should do tips. I shouldn't have fun or show my personality. Oh, um, I've got a sweatshirt on or a t shirt on today. Oh, I didn't put all my makeup on today. Oh, you know, I've really been trying and I've been trying to lose a few pounds. And I don't like the way I look on video. Oh, I just it's not I'm in my living room. I'm not in the office. Like, I don't know if that'll work. And here's what I want you to take away from this. Stop overthinking it. Stop worrying about what you think everyone else is going to say. Because normally what you think people are going to say, or people are going to think they're not thinking it. Most of the time, what you think people are going to think they're not thinking. Here's another reason why you should just do it. You should put out pictures of your events, you should share videos about what you have to offer, whether it be wedding event related, you should put that information out there. Because people should know about what you have to offer. It doesn't matter if your most expensive wedding planner, if you're the least expensive wedding planner, it doesn't matter if you charge a few $100 for your services, or a few $1,000 for your services, someone out there needs the solution that you offer them. And if you don't use your voice, if you don't show up for your business online. There you are taking away from the number of people that you can impact. And for me, this has been a big one I've just worked on recently being more present online. And Absolutely. I've gotten a hell of a lot of response from that. Has anyone ever said anything to me about not having my makeup on? Has anyone ever said about not speaking perfectly in my videos? Or on my social media posts? Hell no. No one said that. And if you have haters, you have haters, you must be doing something right. In it was something for me that you know, I've been doing this a long time. But what if I don't say it? Right? What if my delivery is not right? What if? What if? What if? What if you put yourself out there? What if you share with the world what your business has to offer? What solution you provide to couples to people planning events, whatever it may be? What if you share that with people? I have news for you. The positive side of that is way more impactful than the negative side of it. Now, is it easy for me to sit here and just share this with you? To be honest with you, it's not actually I feel like I'm being really vulnerable and sharing with people. Looks can be deceiving. And I've just decided that the benefit for me using my voice, my experience and my expertise far outweighs the what ifs. I want you to share with the world to showcase your work, your talents, your amazing hard work. Even the behind the scenes of what it takes to bring these events to life. Because there's someone out there that needs your services that need your expertise that needs the solution that you provide. I say a lot. I'm a work in progress. I'm far from over my own mindset issues. But I have found a way to slowly work through them and also get to a place where I'm okay sharing with clients, sharing with audiences when I do speaking and teaching events. It's okay not to be perfect. Because why I'm not I didn't get to where I'm at by being perfect. The other thing is, I don't know where I'm at. I don't give myself enough time to think about how much I've grown, how many people I've impacted the the services the solutions that I offer, how much that's made a difference for other people. Ball. Why do you do you do that? Because you should. I know I should. But you go on to the next thing. There's other clients to help. And I think when your mind starts to go to the what ifs? Maybe there's time for pause to think about, how have you helped your previous clients? What impact have you made for past clients, or existing clients that you're working with. And if you give yourself that moment, some times that can help with the confidence to go forward with sharing those pictures, going live, doing a recorded video that you're going to put on Instagram reels, tic TOCs, your website, YouTube, wherever it is. Because people deserve to know what you have to offer, so they can consider if you're possibly what they need. And I'm here to tell you, there's people out there looking for you. Every day, no matter what type of service, no matter your pricing, no matter where you're located. They're looking for you. And I want you to be found when they're doing their research, I want you to be found. Now, as I mentioned, something that has been a big help to me, is the support of business groups and things like that for me, and honestly, I got a few of them. And that's why it was important for me to have a Facebook group for wedding professionals to come in to a group of like minded individuals in the same industry, in a safe place to ask questions to connect. To be able to realize you are not alone, there are other people possibly with the same hurdles, struggles, whatever you want to word it. So I encourage you to join my free Facebook group. If you have not already, you need the link. It's in the show notes or wherever you're catching this, you will find a link or you can always go to the website, wedprosolutions.com. Thank you for tuning in and continue to be a work in progress. It's okay to be where you're at. take pause and just look at how much you've changed, accomplished grown maybe in the last six months the last year or the last few years. I hope that you found this helpful. And until next time, everyone, take care and keep working on those businesses.
