I don't know about you, but I am ready to dive in. So let's start with step one. Define your brand voice. So ChatGPT can use it. The mistake most people make never [00:02:00] telling ChatGPT what their brand voice is. So guess what? It defaults to bland, neutral tone. That's why it doesn't sound like you. So what's the fix?

Well, before you ask ChatGPT for content, you need to clearly define your brand's voice. And here's where you can start doing that. You can answer these questions. Your tone. Are you professional? Friendly? Humorous? Authoritative? Tell it how you like your tone to be. Next, style. Do you use short sentences or do you go into detailed explanations?

Key phrases. Are there words or catchphrases you use often? And then, your personality. Are you bold? Sarcastic? [00:03:00] Empathetic? Motivational?

So, let me give you an example without defining my voice. Create a social media post about time management. Okay? That was very plain. Now, let me give you an example with a defined voice. Create a casual and motivating social media post about time management. Keep it friendly, conversational, and use short, punchy sentences.

Now, let me give you a pro tip. The more details you take the time to provide it, the better the results are going to be. Okay, let's move on to step two. Train ChatGPT with your existing content. And this right here is a trick that most people don't know. You can actually teach ChatGPT to mimic you're writing [00:04:00] style by feeding it with your past content.

Now, let that sink in for just a moment. You might be wondering, okay, how do I do it? Well, find a piece of content that you wrote. It could be a blog post, an email, social media post, something that you've actually written. And then take and copy it and paste it into ChatGPT and make sure you tell it.

Analyze my writing style. What tone and structure do I use? That's right, you can ask ChatGPT to give you feedback. Now, you then want to ask it to write new content using that same tone. Here's an example. Now, write a LinkedIn post about productivity using this exact style. [00:05:00] So, that would be the prompt you would use.

Now, if I was just doing very bland, I would say time management is crucial for success. Be sure to plan your task in advance. Now, that was a very generic tone. Now, using a brand voice that's friendly and motivational, the post would be feeling overwhelmed? Take 10 minutes to plan tomorrow. A little prep now equals a stress free morning.

You can clearly hear the difference in a very bland Output versus a more detailed output. So here's another tip. Keep using the same chat thread. When working on related content, chat GPT will start to learn and adjust over time. You need to remember that it is a learning [00:06:00] model.

Now, going on to step three. You can use the brand voice training prompt. Want to shortcut this process? That is right. This is the way to do it.

You can use this exact prompt to get ChatGPT writing in your brand voice instantly. So here we go. Copy and paste this into ChatGPT. I want you to write content in my brand voice. My brand is And you want to enter your business name. And I communicate in a blank tone. Make sure you share with it. Are you friendly?

Professional? Bold? I use phrases like and you would want to take and share with it different phrases that you use. Then say, I speak to blank audience. Tell it who this audience is that you want to speak to. [00:07:00] And focus on Blank topics. What topics do you want it to focus on? Based on this, rewrite the following text in my voice.

And then, you would paste in the sample text. So, let me give you an example of before and after. Because I want you to be able to hear the difference. Before, very bland. Marketing is an essential tool for brand success. Okay? Now, let me give you an example after. Now, this is with a brand voice prompt.

Marketing isn't just important. It's the secret weapon that keeps your business growing, even when you're sleeping. Now, here's another tip that I want to give you. If the response still doesn't sound right, tweak it and tell ChatGPT what to adjust. Don't use something you're not happy with. Take the time to have [00:08:00] that conversation back and forth with ChatGPT. Really think of it as a learning process.

Okay, so now we're moving on to step four. Do you want every piece of ChatGPT generated content to feel on brand every single time? Well, save a brand voice cheat sheet and use it whenever you generate content. Remember, this is what you want to include. Your tone and personality.

Key phrases you use. Examples of your writing. Now, then whenever you ask ChatGPT for content, make sure you start with use my brand voice guidelines. And then paste that information in to your chat window. Then you can ask ChatGPT now, write a blog post about blank. Whatever [00:09:00] topic it is you want.

I would encourage you to save your brand voice cheat sheet in a document. Whether you use Word or Google Docs or Notepad. Whatever is most convenient for you. And reference it whenever you use ChatGPT. It will make a huge difference. Now, I say all of this But I want you to remember, I feel like it is extremely important to take the time to pre bake the oven, even more so than just your brand voice.

You want to make sure that ChatGPT can know as much about you and your business as possible.
