Are you ready to get started? Before we dive into the specifics of Pinterest, let's talk about why you should explore alternatives to meta ads.

Now, please don't get me wrong. Meta ads are incredibly powerful. But, the truth is, they may not be the perfect fit for every business. For one, the marketplace is crowded. With so many businesses competing for attention, your ads might get lost in the noise. Or worse, cost more than [00:03:00] your budget.

Diversifying your advertising strategy allows you to, number one, reach new audiences who might not be active on Facebook or Instagram. Number two, leverage unique formats that other platforms offer like video storytelling or professional targeting. Number three, reduce reliance on a single platform, which protects you if ad cost rise or there are changes to the algorithm.

So if you want to explore more about expanding your reach, or you just want to try something new, let's start with one of the biggest platforms out there. YouTube.

YouTube is the second largest search engine in the world. Second only to Google. And it's the go to platform for video content.

I share this a lot because people forget that it [00:04:00] is the second largest search engine. And if your business has a story to tell or a product to show or demonstrate, YouTube is the place to be.

So you might be wondering, how do YouTube ads work? Well, you can create different types of video ads, skippable ads. These are the ads viewers can skip after five seconds. They're great for storytelling or showcasing your brand. Next non skippable ads. Perfect for concise, impactful messages that stick.

Bumper ads, short six second videos designed to grab attention quickly. Overlay ads, small banner ads that appear over videos. So who benefits the most? From YouTube ads, well businesses with strong visual content like product demos, [00:05:00] tutorials, or even testimonials. For example, a fitness coach could use YouTube ad to show a quick workout routine and drive traffic to their online program.

One of the tips that I would share with you in regards to YouTube ads is grab attention in the first five seconds. Most viewers decide very quickly whether to keep watching or skip. The next tip would be end with a clear call to action, like visit now, sign up, or learn more. It is really important to use high quality visuals and audio.

Poor production, such as poor lighting, Or audio can hurt your brand image, especially on YouTube.

Now let's shift gears and let's talk about LinkedIn ads, [00:06:00] LinkedIn, the professional networking powerhouse. LinkedIn is the platform for B2B. Business to business marketing and professional services. Here's what makes LinkedIn ads special. They're designed to reach decision makers like CEOs, managers, and industry leaders.

The targeting options. Are very detailed. You can target by job type, company size, industry, or even specific skills. Now let's talk a little bit about their ad formats,

sponsored content, ads that appear right in the LinkedIn feed. Then you have in mail ads, messages sent directly to a user's inbox. Then you can have lead generation forms. These make it super easy for users to sign up without leaving LinkedIn. So who are LinkedIn ads [00:07:00] ideal for? B2B companies, recruiters, or anyone else selling professional services.

For example, if you're a consultant offering workshops for HR teams, LinkedIn is the perfect platform. To connect with decision makers.

Here's a couple of tips that I'll share with you in regards to LinkedIn ads. Keep your messaging professional, but engaging. LinkedIn users expect a certain tone. Focus on solving problems. What pain points can your service or product address? I would encourage you to consider the lead generation forms to make it easier for users to share their information.

Now that we've talked a little bit about LinkedIn, let's shift gears again. And finally, let's talk about Pinterest. This platform is for inspiration and planning. If your business thrives on visuals, Pinterest is a [00:08:00] goldmine. Pinterest users are often in discovery mode, actively searching for ideas, products, and solutions.

Ads blend seamlessly into this platform, so they feel more natural and less intrusive. So what ad platforms does Pinterest offer? Well, there's promoted pins. They look like regular pins, but reach a larger audience. Then there's carousel ads, which showcase multiple images in one ad. There's idea pins.

These are multi page interactive content, great for tutorials or how tos. So you may be wondering who is best for using Pinterest ads. Well, Pinterest is perfect for e commerce businesses and lifestyle brands. Think fashion, home decor, DIY, or food.

For example, a home decor shop could use Pinterest ads to promote a board [00:09:00] of holiday decorating ideas. So here's a few tips that I would share with you in regards to Pinterest ads. I encourage you to use high quality eye catching visuals. Pinterest is all about aesthetics. Make sure to include actionable calls to actions or CTAs as some people call it.

Like shop now or get inspired. And

lastly, I would share with you to make sure your pins link directly to relevant landing pages. You don't want people trying to click multiple times to get where you want them to go.

So how do you decide which platforms to use? I'm going to share with you some quick information to recap. YouTube is ideal for businesses with video content that want to tell stories or educate. LinkedIn, perfect for B2B, professional services, or even high ticket [00:10:00] offers. Pinterest, great for visually driven e commerce and lifestyle brands.

I would encourage you to ask yourself these questions.
